Tidepools 2024

Tidepools is an annual publication comprised of original art, poetry, fiction, and essays from MiraCosta College students, staff, and faculty, and awards cash prizes to students in each category. Themes that emerged in this year’s edition were the body and self, family relationships, and exploring gender identity.

My role in crafting this book was typesetting the Essays portion of the book. My goal was to create a fluid and open layout and incorporating design elements from other areas of the book, while being mindful of and respecting the sensitive nature of the author’s work.
